Sales Director CME Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility is to effectively sell the Sermo suite of continuing medical education offerings to targeted medical education companies and biopharmaceutical companies
- Develop, track and deliver on realistic sales pipeline projections and prepare weekly status reports to management.
- Perform continuous customer targeting, account planning, sales efforts and sales activity reporting.
- Remain current with CE, CME and continuously evolving industry guidelines and regulations.
- Remain current with competitive CME products or similar educational programs offered within the industry.
- Influence CME grant support process in adherence to the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Standards for Commercial Support.
- Partner with the CME Product Marketing Director to advise Sermo business stakeholders on CME regulatory and compliance issues.
- Provide product requirements feedback to support further development of Sermo's physician education offerings.
- Work closely with the Product Marketing Director who develops sales collateral materials.
- 50% travel expected.
Qualifications
- 5 plus years of medical education sales preferred. Demonstrated track record is required.
- Experience in preparing and delivering client proposals is essential.
- Must possess command of the account planning process and an understanding of medical education principles.
- Knowledge of CRM software (i.e. SalesForce) to maintain client database is desired.
- Strong science background (ie. post-graduate degree) is also considered a plus.
- Proven track record in establishing, building and maintaining solid business relationships with internal and external stakeholders that drive business results.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
