Responsibilities

  • Acquire accounts within an assigned territory of buy-side firms.
  • Meet and exceed a target of $1.2 million dollars per year of annual subscriptions.
  • Develop closed accounts to maximize their revenue potential.
  • Aggregate and distill product and service feedback for product management and development groups.

Requirements

  • An experienced, responsible and creative sales person with a minimum of 3 years experience selling content and technology solutions to the investment community in New York City and the tri-state area.
  • Recent sales experience and a current rolodex of hedgefunds and other buy-side accounts.
  • A solid track record for quota attainment.
  • Someone who can take initiative in sales, client management and new business development and effectively configure Sermo's capabilities to match client business problems.
  • Good working knowledge of the buy-side investment process.
  • Knowledge of the data acquisition and management problems experienced by financial institutions in the front, middle and back office.
  • Experience with Healthcare content and technologies helpful.
  • This job also requires travel within the tri-state area with frequent travel to Sermo HQ in Cambridge, MA.
