Humira and antibiotic prophylaxis for dental work
Submit Your Answer
I have a patient that was placed on Humira for psoriasis by another physician. He is doing well and his CBC and WBC count has always been normal. Is the possiblity of bacteremia from dental work or other procedures enough to justify prophylactic antiobiotics for routine dental work? The patient called requesting Amoxil because apparently he has always used it prior to dental work. Is it actually indicated?
