Sermo discussions – RBG’s death and the ACA

The celebrated Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died last week. She was a pioneer in the fight for women’s rights and a champion for the equality of all people. As the world mourns the death of the second woman to serve on the Supreme Court—the health community debates the future of the Affordable Care Act.

In a poll of about 575 global Sermo doctors, 71% responded that they believe the future of the Affordable Care Act is in jeopardy without Justice Ginsburg on the bench. When asked whether they support the ACA, 60% responded yes, and 59% said they are concerned their patients may lose health coverage without the ACA intact.

In regards to the heated debate over whether or not Justice Ginsburg’s seat should be filled now or after the election, 53% said it should be filled immediately and 47% said it should be filled after the election.
