Bicitra contains sodium citrate dihydrate and citric acid monohydrate as active ingredients in an oral solution form. The drug functions as a nonparticulate neutralizing buffer and is a systemic alkalizer. It is available as a stable and sugar-free oral solution that can provide 500 mg of sodium citrate and 334 mg of citric acid per 5 mL. Key inactive ingredients include flavoring, purified water, sodium benzoate, and sucralose solution.
How should I use this medication?
Take this medication by mouth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Take after meals. Before taking, mix the dose in 6 ounces of water. Take your medication at regular intervals. What if I miss a dose?

Where should I keep my medication?
Keep out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Keep the container tightly closed. Throw away any unused medication after the expiration date.
