How should I use this medication?
This medication is applied to the teeth. Follow these instructions unless otherwise instructed by your care team: After brushing thoroughly with toothpaste, rinse as usual. Apply a thin ribbon of gel to the teeth with a toothbrush or mouth tray. Do this once daily for at least 1 minute, preferably at bedtime. After using, adults should spit out the gel and should not eat, drink or rinse for 30 minutes for best results. Do not swallow the gel.
Talk to your care team about the use of this medication in children. This gel has been used in children as young as 6 years; however, precautions do apply. Children 6 to 16 years of age should spit the gel out after use and rinse the mouth thoroughly.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, use only that dose. Do not use double or extra doses.
Where should I keep my medication?
Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Store at room temperature between 20 and 25 degrees C (68 and 77 degrees F). Keep container tightly closed. Throw away any unused medication after the expiration date.
