What should I tell my care team before I take this medication?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
-Diabetes
-Heart disease
-High blood pressure
-Kidney disease
-Liver disease
-Low blood pressure
-Low red blood cell levels
-Lung disease
-Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)
-Previous pregnancy with difficult labor, traumatic delivery, or cesarean section
-Previous surgery to the uterus
-Seizures
-Uterine rupture or scars
-An unusual or allergic reaction to carboprost tromethamine, other medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-Breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using this medication?
Your condition will be monitored carefully while you are receiving this medication.
Contact your care team immediately if you experience signs and symptoms of infection or other complications, such as fever, chills, pelvic or stomach pain, unusual vaginal discharge, itching, or odor, or increase in vaginal bleeding several days after treatment.
