How should I use this medication?
The medication is for topical use in the mouth or throat. Do not swallow this medication unless you have been told to. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Use a specially marked spoon or container to measure the solution. Ask your pharmacist if you do not have one. If you have a sore place in your mouth, you can apply the medication with a cotton-tipped applicator. The solution can be swished around the mouth or gargled. Take your medication at regular intervals. Do not take your medication more often than directed. Do not use this medication in infants and children for teething pain. Talk to your care team about the use of this medication in children. Special care may be needed. People over 65 years may have a stronger reaction and need a smaller dose.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once. NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others.
What if I miss a dose?
This does not apply. This medication is not for regular use. It should only be used as needed.
Where should I keep my medication?
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Do not freeze.

What are the most serious risks of this medication?
Improper use of this medicine can cause seizures, a dangerous change in heart beat, or death in children or infants less than 3 years old. Do not use this medicine for teething pain. Use only as directed. Do not exceed recommended doses or give more often than prescribed.
