What should I tell my care team before I take this medication?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
- Heart or blood vessel conditions
- An unusual or allergic reaction to norepinephrine, sulfites, other medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives
- Pregnant or trying to get pregnant
- Breastfeeding
What may interact with this medication?
Do not take this medication with any of the following:
- Ergot alkaloids, such as dihydroergotamine, ergotamine, methylergonovine
- MAOIs, such as Marplan, Nardil, and Parnate
This medication may also interact with the following medications:
- Certain medications for depression, such as amitriptyline
- Contrast agents used before CT, MRI, or X-ray scans
- Digoxin
- Medications for diabetes
- Oxytocin
