Elissa Yozawitz, MD

Dr. Yozawitz is a Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics. Her clinical and research interest focuses on children and neonates with epilepsy. Dr. Yozawitz received her medical degree from Upstate Medical University in 2005. She completed residency training in pediatrics at Long Island Jewish Medical Center as well in pediatric neurology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center where she additionally trained with a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology-EEG track. She serves as a pediatric neurologist and epileptologist as well as Director of Neonatal Neurology and Associated Director of Pediatric Epilepsy.  She serves on multiple national and international committees and has written guidelines and the classification and treatment of neonatal seizures.
