Sermo AI Overview

  • Orkambi is effective for certain cystic fibrosis mutations, with significant symptom improvement in suitable patients when treatment aligns with their genetic profile, emphasizing the need for targeted therapy.
  • Although Orkambi shows promise, its high cost and issues with accessibility can restrict treatment options for some patients, even those with insurance, highlighting a gap in equitable healthcare access.
  • The tolerability of Orkambi has received positive assessments, yet some physicians note that more extensive long-term studies are necessary to comprehensively evaluate its long-term effects and safety.
