Executive Team

Tim Davenport, CEO

Tim Davenport joined Sermo as CEO in 2012. Tim was previously President of Revolution Health where he developed a passion for nurturing innovation in online health. Tim has served as the CEO of two public companies – Vastera Global Trade, and Best Software where he lead an IPO. He has also served as an executive, board member or investor in a number of innovative technology companies including: Lotus; Softrax; Yobongo; Parature and Made2Manage. He is currently on the board of Serena Software. Tim holds a BA from Harvard College, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Adam Feinzig, CFO

Adam Feinzig joined Sermo in 2010 as Chief Financial Officer with more than 17 years of financial and operational experience in the technology industry. Most recently, Adam was Vice President of Finance at Gomez, an internet infrastructure company. In his role, Adam was responsible for worldwide accounting operations, financial planning & analysis, treasury, tax and internal and external financial reporting. Adam began his career as a CPA including five years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in its Technology Industry Group. Adam holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst School of Management.

Onur Mergen, VP Engineering

Onur Mergen joined Sermo, Inc. in 2007 as a Software Architect and was quickly promoted to Director of Engineering and again to VP of Engineering. A key player in driving adoption of agile methodologies, state-of-the-art engineering practices and Ruby-on-Rails at Sermo, he's also personally overseen a massive and very successful project to overhaul Sermo's entire technology platform. Onur has nearly 15 years of experience building complex software solutions at internet-focused, venture funded start-ups. Onur holds a BS degree from Bogazici University and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Jon Michaeli, VP Marketing & Membership

Jon Michaeli joined Sermo in 2011 as VP, Marketing. Jon has over 13 years experience in online and viral marketing, product marketing and management, partner marketing, and business development. His responsibilities at Sermo include growing and engaging the physician community, overseeing the company’s web presence, increasing market penetration, product marketing, and client lead gen. During his career, Jon has held several executive marketing positions at internet and mobile start-ups in e-commerce, social media, and subscription services that achieved multimillion member/customer milestones, including Gather.com and Worldmate. Jon holds a BA in Economics from Tufts University and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.

Rich Westelman,
SVP Sales & Client Services

Rich joined Sermo in 2010 and is responsible for Sales and Client Services. This includes supporting the field sales, inside sales and account director teams as they work with clients to integrate social media into their market research and promotional endeavors. Prior to joining Sermo, Rich was a “serial entrepreneur” helping to launch and run numerous high-tech ventures, including most recently EnglishCentral – an online language learning company funded by Google Ventures. Rich was the CFO at Speechworks International for five years and led the team to take the company public in 2000. Rich holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
