Onur Mergen
SVP, Global Head of Engineering
Onur Mergen joined Sermo, Inc. in 2007 as a Software Architect and was quickly promoted to Director of Engineering and again to VP of Engineering. A key player in driving adoption of agile methodologies, state-of-the-art engineering practices and Ruby-on-Rails at Sermo, he's also personally overseen a massive and very successful project to overhaul Sermo's entire technology platform. Onur has nearly 15 years of experience building complex software solutions at internet-focused, venture funded start-ups. Onur holds a BS degree from Bogazici University and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Jon Michaeli
SVP, Global Community & Marketing
Jon Michaeli joined Sermo in 2011 as VP, Marketing. Jon has over 13 years experience in online and viral marketing, product marketing and management, partner marketing, and business development. His responsibilities at Sermo include growing and engaging the physician community, overseeing the company’s web presence, increasing market penetration, product marketing, and client lead gen. During his career, Jon has held several executive marketing positions at internet and mobile start-ups in e-commerce, social media, and subscription services that achieved multimillion member/customer milestones, including Gather.com and Worldmate. Jon holds a BA in Economics from Tufts University and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.

Richard Armstrong, M.D.
Richard A. Armstrong MD FACS is a general surgeon currently practicing at Helen Newberry Joy Hospital in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Dr. Armstrong graduated from the Ohio State University School of Medicine in 1976 and completed postgraduate training in general surgery in 1981 at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. After finishing Naval Service, Dr. Armstrong entered private practice in upper Michigan for 18 years. He has been in his current position for 10 years. Dr. Armstrong serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Docs4PatientCare.
Teri Willochell, M.D.
Teri Willochell, MD is a board certified internist who has been practicing in and around Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the past 15 years. Initially dividing her time between a private office, inpatient work, and teaching residents, she devoted the past 5 years exclusively to teaching internal medicine residents at UPMC Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh. Just recently, she made the switch to urgent care and took a job at MedExpress so she could spend more time with her family. One of the founding members of Sermo, Dr. Willochell is a beloved and highly respected figure in the community.
