Strensiq contains the active ingredient asfotase alfa, which is a tissue nonspecific alkaline phosphatase (TNSALP) produced in a Chinese hamster ovary cell line. It is provided as a sterile, nonpyrogenic aqueous solution for subcutaneous administration. Key inactive ingredients include dibasic sodium phosphate, heptahydrate; monobasic sodium phosphate, monohydrate; and sodium chloride. Strensiq is commonly used to target bone conditions.
How should I use this medication?
This medication is injected under the skin. You will be taught how to prepare and give it. Take it as directed on the prescription label. Keep taking it unless your care team tells you to stop.

Where should I keep my medication?

Store in the refrigerator. Do not freeze. Protect from light. Keep this medication in the original packaging until you are ready to take it. Once removed from the refrigerator, give the medication within 3 hours. Get rid of any unused medication after it expires.
